I can now!

not had a contact yet - so I have no idea how I'm making it in to the repeater.

Opened the repeater from the car park of Ayr College, about S0-S1 RX'd from it - and from outside my house in Troon, S3.

These were mobile, Triband aerial and a Yaesu FT8900 with 10W.

 GB3SL users, where are you?

:(
After all the complaints that GB3SL was not on the air what has happened. GB3SL now on air, great coverage but next to NO users.
After all the hard work carried out by the repeater team why not use this great repeater!!

 WOW things have changed!
« Result #5 on Aug 20, 2008, 9:34pm »

Hi

I have just got my callsign back for the first time since 2003, (GM0HSC) and to be honest it has been a lot longer since I actually used it.

And how things have changed :-) IRLP etc, repeaters in odd places 6m repeaters, odd splits on 70cms and things..

Oh how old do I feel!!!

Cheers
Shug

Re...Site revamp!!

I look at the web site now and again and find it 'serves its purpose'.
Normally I am to busy operating on qrp cw or constructing kit to bother with the internet!!
Perhaps other members, like me also prefer operating radio to playing with computers, hence the lack of input!!

Hello all

Galashiels and District ARS and Scottish Borders Repeater Group also support the application for GB3LA.

The road between Carluke and Peebles is pretty poor for repeaters and GB3LA should fill the gap (which is part of the point of the application).

Hi
We do read the Forum but as you say not a lot of people post anything - even though they (The Members) asked for the facility to be provided.

As you know there would be a bit of ongoing maintenance required to maintain membership details on this medium as the Forum is provided by a third party.

The main website is driven from the membership database directly and it would actually be easier to maintain a members only area on there (anybody got a forum package in PHP?).

There are pictures on the site - you just have to look in the right places - have a look at some of the sub articles on the individual repeater pages - eg CS

Suggestions can be sent by e-mail as well - admin@csfmg.com - or on here.
