After all the complaints that GB3SL was not on the air what has happened. GB3SL now on air, great coverage but next to NO users. After all the hard work carried out by the repeater team why not use this great repeater!!

I look at the web site now and again and find it 'serves its purpose'. Normally I am to busy operating on qrp cw or constructing kit to bother with the internet!! Perhaps other members, like me also prefer operating radio to playing with computers, hence the lack of input!!

Details of the proposed repeater GB3LA, were presented to members of the Strathclyde Fire & Rescue Amateur Radio Club at their meeting in Hamilton on Friday 27th. June. Several members requested clarification on the actual location and the predicted service area. In general, the new repeater proposal was welcomed by all present. Gordon, GM3ULP (Club Secretary).

Hi We do read the Forum but as you say not a lot of people post anything - even though they (The Members) asked for the facility to be provided.
As you know there would be a bit of ongoing maintenance required to maintain membership details on this medium as the Forum is provided by a third party.
The main website is driven from the membership database directly and it would actually be easier to maintain a members only area on there (anybody got a forum package in PHP?).
There are pictures on the site - you just have to look in the right places - have a look at some of the sub articles on the individual repeater pages - eg CS
